Two dance numbers with A LOT of flavour today.

First is this track from Portuguese DJ Mastiksoul that I can’t get enough of! It’s filthy and I can picture winding down to the ground and never getting up with this one. pop it!

Second is from South African house DJ Mujava. This one makes me throw my shoes off and dance in very embarrassing ways (picture a fun African tribal dance circle with one over-enthusiastic white kid in the middle going crazy. With loincloth of course).

Feeling a little bummed out these days because of the passing of the best Prime Minister we never had - Jack Layton - but like Jack said, you’ve gotta remain optimistic. So I won’t stop posting music to dance to, even on these sad days. I will however post this Gaga remix by one of my favourite indie bands Wild Beasts. The song bumps along like a heartbeat.

A disco remix from Oliver brightens up the already sunny new track from France’s Housse De Racket. These guys used to play for Phoenix and Air, so they are VERY French and VERY cool. Don’t hurt ‘em boys!

The synth lines in the re-work made me feel like there were firewoks in my veins! Thrilling stuff. (the track comes from new new album due at the end of the month)

This sunny dance track from French music makers Pleasurelove is fresh! Makes me wanna rollerskate on a boardwalk in a striped onesie.

A gloriously happy remix from the always amazing Magician. This one’s a re-working of wacky UK pop kid Wolf Gang. He’s going to make a big splash on year-end lists in 2011, so look out for his mug and voice. While his stuff is great, I really, really love this island beach party remix. It’s the musical equivalent of pineapples.
